  1. There are actually four sets of files in this subdirectory -
  2.  
  3.   noKLICKstart - a program to disable that annoying clicking sound you hear
  4. if you leave a disk out of a drive. It works by modifying your Kickstart
  5. disk; won't work on Amy 500 or 2000. Very useful! See the .doc and README
  6. files.
  7.  
  8.   SumKick - a program to calculate a new checksum for KickStart, in case
  9. you make any changes (the program checks itself for proper loading with
  10. a checksum based on contents; make a change, and...).
  11.  
  12.   patching.kickstart - a text file giving a couple of nifty ideas for
  13. patches to KickStart.
  14.  
  15.   WBench8 - and assorted files. Tells how to patch KickStart to give an
  16. eight-color WorkBench screen.
  17.  
  18.   Some of this isn't for the faint-hearted, and can't be used at all on the
  19. 500 or 2000 machines, except as source on what kind of things the 1000
  20. owners are doing to muck up their machines.
